The HSM Team
Blake Cox | Assistant High School Pastor
Name is Blake Cox! I was born in San Jose, California. Lived in Roseville most my life though. Graduated from William Jessup University!
I enjoy reading, hiking, biking, snow boarding, video games, board games, music, food, food, and more food.
I love doing life with High Schoolers, because of how unique it is. High School is one of the most transformative moments in a persons life. It sets the trajectory for the future. Having the opportunity to walk alongside students as they see where the Lord is leading them is truly rewarding. Watching young people grow in a relationship with Jesus and other brothers and sisters in Christ is what gets me excited!
Fact # 1: I have red hair with blue eyes. There are less than 1% of people in the world with that combination.
Chris Johnson | High School Ministry Assistant
I love high school ministry because I get to walk along side students as they explore what it means to be a follower of Christ.
In my free time I love spending time with my Wife, finding new restaurants around town and playing games.
Fun fact: I’ve eaten sushi in Tokyo
Kyra Jones | High School Ministry Assistant
I have a heart for student ministry because I think building up the next generation is so important. To be able to pour into them and help them develop their relationship with Jesus can impact so many others now and in the future!
In my free time I like to watch crime shows, kayak, hike, and read
Fun facts: 1. I broke my arm in kindergarten and got my cast signed by the Mickey Mouse 2. I have hitchhikers thumbs 3. I love penguins so so much

Tuesday gatherings follow the school calendar by running august through may and they look something like this:

7:00 - join in on some friendly and fun competition with other students.
7:10 - join together to worship in community through music and biblical teaching on culturally relevant topics.
8:00- split everyone into small groups to share life and engage with questions that came up in the teaching time.
Sunday Morning Youth Service
9:00 am • In the Youth Tent
On Sunday mornings we put on a Youth Service for all 9th-12th grade students in the Youth Tent at 9:00am. We have relevant and engaging worship and biblically based messages that align with the our adult services.
HUME SD 2020
July 12-17 in San Diego, CA
We are returning to Hume San Diego in July of 2020 and we want all High School Students at Christ Community Church to join us! This life changing trip is an amazing opportunity to build meaningful relationships and learn what it means to daily love God & love others. The cost of the trip is $650, but the sooner you register the more opportunities there will be to raise the money as students who put time and effort into raising money are usually able to raise almost the entire amount through our Rent-A-Student and Kid Care program as well as our large fundraising in the spring.
To guarantee a spot and start getting opportunities to raise money toward camp, register today. There is a required $75 non-refundable deposit needed at the time of registration. Registration is open until October 15th.
