Backpack Drive Overview
The Backpack Drive was HUGE success once again. We collected a total of 353 backpacks and filled them all with incredible school supplies. The homeless youth resource team at San Juan School District was incredibly thankful for all of the backpacks and sent us all a card of thanksgiving. Check out the highlight video below!
Thanks for your generosity!
Christ Community Leadership Team
Help support 2,000 school-aged children in the San Juan School District who do not have a permanent address. Pick up a school supply list and return the donated items to the designated bins in the Lobby by August 4th. This is a great opportunity to be the presence of Jesus in our community! Every year we do this, we are always met with incredible gratitude by the San Juan School District as they have countless youth who are homeless and unable to buy their own supplies.
We will also be joined by our Children’s Ministry as the Backpack Drive will be the mission project for this year’s Summer Blast. So join our youth in collecting school supplies and helping other youth in need. We are blessed to be a blessing!
Here are two ways you can shop for school supplies…
Shop and Drop. Click the school supplies link below, shop at any local store, and drop your items at the front office during the week or in one of the lobbies on a Sunday morning.
Shop and Ship. Click the Amazon Wishlist button below, purchase some items, and have them shipped directly to Christ Community at: 5025 Manzanita Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608.
Please have everything to us by August 11th as we want to have the backpacks delivered to the school district before the start of the school year.
